I’m putting the call out to anyone that might have camera phone video of a U2 concert to please post it here at U2JAM!

We have a variety of different videos available now but I’d like to see more fan create footage posted. If you know of someone who has some footage then please let them know about us.

On the development side, we are working on a mobile upload system that will aid in the ability for fans to upload video clips straight from the members cell phone. This would let fans easily upload videos form the concert venue. How instant would that be!

Anyways, thanks to all the users who have helped build the collection of vids here!! You all are the best!

There seems to be a issue when the system tries to do a video conversion on .rm video files. If you try to upload a .rm you may experience problems. I’m looking into the rm conversion issues but in the meantime you may need to try to convert your .rm video to another format (I recommend .MPEG).

I use a program called AVS video converter to do all my video conversions and it works like a champ. It supports converts between the following formats, AVI, MP4, 3GP, MPEG, MOV, WMV, RM, and SWF. Plus, the conversion can be tweaked to increase or decrease the compression to your liking.

Hello and welcome to U2JAM!

U2JAM new video sharing site devoted to U2. The site is still being tested so you might come across some small issues here and there, but overall the site is functioning. This site will always be a work in progress, and will never be completed.

U2JAM is a off shoot of U2Torrents.com in that it will allow users to upload U2 videos for others to view. U2JAM does not use the bittorrent protocol and the quality of the uploaded videos will vary, but it will allow users to upload and share. The video’s found at U2JAM are considered lossy, so if your a obsessive video purest then this site will probably irritate you greatly.

The U2JAM site would be a perfect place to share any camera phone videos from U2 concerts, along with any fan created concert videos. You know the stuff that U2Torrents doesn’t allow.  We must ask that you not upload commercial items, please.

The latest update addresses some of the following issues:

Some tweaking to the video conversion process has been done to try to improve the quality of converted video’s. U2JAM will accept video files from most digital cameras, camcorders, and cell phones in the flv, 3gp, mp4, mov, asf, mpg, avi, mpeg, wmv, rm, and dat file formats. We recommend you upload videos in one of the following formats for best quality conversions: mpg/mpeg, or wmv.
